Georgia joins OTIF
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGeorgia has joined the Intergovernmental Organization for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF), Business Georgia reports.
According to Georgian Railways, the state gains membership on May 1, 2012.
OTIF was formed in 1980 to develop common laws on international freighting and passenger transport. It consists of France, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Turkey, Switzerland, Belgium and other states.
Georgia will realize railway freighting according to international regulations and laws used in Western Europe for years.
