Turkey closes embassy in Syria

Turkey has closed its embassy in Damascus, ITAR-TASS reports.

Members of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which include Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia, closed their embassies earlier. The US, UK, France, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Spain and Finland closed their diplomatic missions in Syria too.
