The North Atlantic alliance has no plans for military intervention in
Syria, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said during a video
conference between Moscow and Brussels, RIA Novosti reports.

Rasmussen also expressed regret that the UN Security Council was unable to
reach agreement on a legally-binding resolution on Syria. At the same time
he expressed his appreciation at the fact that all members of the UN
Security Council, including Russia, supported the statement by the head of
the UN Security Council in support of Kofi Annan's efforts.
