Annan urges Damascus to realize his plan immediately

Kofi Annan, special representative of the UN and the Arab League (LAS), urges Damascus to realize his plan to settle the crisis immediately, his press secretary Ahmed Fauzi said today, ITAR-TASS reports.

Damascus approved the six-point plan on Tuesday. The documents obliges the government to cooperate with special representatives, stop assaults and violence to stabilize the situation.

Annan's plan sets daily two-hour humanitarian breaks to provide humanitarian aid to areas in need of it. The plan demands a speed up of release of innocent people, free movement of journalists and respect for people's rights to peaceful protests.
