North Caucasus law enforcers report on March achievements

Law enforcers of the North Caucasus killed 37 militants in March, including 9 militant leaders, and detained 42 militants and their supporters, RIA Novosti reports.

174 operative investigations and searches were carried out, 7 military bases were destroyed and 16 caches with weapons and food found.

The police registered 26 terrorist attacks, including 17 shootouts, 9 blasts and 3 clashes.

Militants activated in Dagestan. The republic had 18 terrorist attacks, which is 69% of total attacks. The highest activity was registered at the last week of March, when over half of crimes happened in the month.

The police expect terrorist attacks at public areas, such as transport facilities, places of tourism and during the Easter.
