Azerbaijan’s Qabala may host Euronest session

Azerbaijan’s Qabala may host a session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly for economic integration this year, head of the Azerbaijani delegation Elkhan Suleimanov said in Baku on Wednesday.

Azerbaijan offered to host a session of the Euronest PA committee for social issues in 2013.

MP Malakhat Ibragimgyzy proposed a special session for gender issues and problems of women.

Baku opened the second session of the Euronest PA on Monday. The session included meetings at committees, working group for Belarus and a plenary session. Delegations discussed documents, supplements and amendments. 60 officials from EU states arrived. National delegations of Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia sent 10 representatives each for the meeting.

The Euronest union consists of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
