Krasnodar region - the most popular resort of Russia

30% of Russians give preference to travelling inside Russia, while only 5% - to travelling abroad, the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina has annonced, RBC reports. She said, that only 17% of Russians have a travel passport, while 70% of Russian citizens have never been abroad.

Tyurina said that in 2011 Russia attracted approximately up to 32 million people to its resorts. The resorts of the Krasnodar Territory have been favored for several years by more than 7% of Russians. All in all, 8% of Russians in 2011 chose to spend their vacation in the Crimea, Abkhazia and Belarus.
