Muslim official killed in Moscow

Metin Mekhtiyev, a Muslim public figure, was killed in Moscow on Tuesday night, Gazeta.ru reports.

  He was stabbed in the neck. According to preliminary data, Mekhtiyev - born in 1978 - was waiting on the street for his wife and a two-month child.

The murder stirred up the Internet community. People give various reasons for the causes of murder, some believe that it is a nationalistic case. Mekhtiyev used to be the head of the Islamic Cultural Center of Russia.
