Chechnya marks Peace Day

Chechnya marks the Day of Peace. The day was set three years ago on April 16, 2009, when the counter-terrorism operation in the republic was annulled.

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov congratulated the population and called it a day of joy and a real victory of the Chechen people in its strive for a peaceful life.

Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhanov and Finances Minister Eli Isayev congratulated the population as well.
