All-Russian Union of Muslim women might be created in April
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA public organization "Russian Union of Muslim Women" might be created in the near future. The organization is expected to help Muslim women address issues of employment and support them in times of crisis, RIA Novosti reports, referring to the Council of Muftis of Russia.
The exact objective of the new social organization will be determined at the All-Russian Congress of Muslim women entitled "Muslim women in the XXI century, their role in society," which will be held in Moscow on April 26. The Congress will host leaders of women's organizations from Russia, the CIS countries, Kuwait, Germany, Turkey and Austria, as well as researchers, government officials and representatives of the public.
The last congress of Muslim women of Russia was held in Moscow in 1917.
