Construction of monastery complex for Iveron Icon of Mother of God

On April 17 on Mount Mahat begins construction of the monastery complex of
the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God. On this day, Catholicos-Patriarch of
All Georgia Ilia II will serve a mass on Mount Mahat and lay the foundation of

Shrines brought from various holy places worldwide and from the Georgian
diocese will be laid in the foundation of the temple.

The construction of the temple of Iveron Mother of God is financed by
Georgian citizens and Georgian immigrants amounting to 145,000 people
