Azerbaijani embassy opened in Pakistan

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov participated in the
official opening ceremony of the Azerbaijani embassy in Pakistan,
1news.az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Within the framework of his visit to Pakistan, the minister met his
Pakistani counterpart, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and the head of the
Pakistani Senate, Farooq Hamid Naek.

Mammadyrov emphasized the importance of interparliamentary relations
between the two countries, and spoke of the building of a high school
for 400 pupils in Pakistan by the Heydar Aliyev Fund in 2009.

At the opening ceremony of the embassy in Islamabad the Azerbaijani
ambassador to Pakistan, Eynulla Madatli, emphasized that the date of
the opening of the embassy was chosen to coincide with the Day of
Azerbaijani National Salvation on June 15th.
