Russia scraps S-300 shipments to Syria

Russia will not provide Syria with S-300 missile complexes, Vice Premier Dmitry Rogozin said, ITAR-TASS reports.

Rogozin emphasized that only the UN Security Council may restrict Russian shipments of weapons. There are no such restrictions so far.

He clarified that Russia ships any types of defense means. Rogozin did not clarify the types of equipment shipped to Syria, only mentioning that anti-missile systems are included.
