LUKOIL starts development of Western Kurna-2

Russia’s largest oil company LUKOIL has started drilling and construction at the Western Kurna-2 Field in Iraq, RIA Novosti reports.

Extraction has reached 150,000 barrels daily. The project will soon cover expenses and start self-financing. About $25 billion will be invested in the field, LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov said.
