Schoolboy dies after head shot by police officer

A 16-year old 11th-grader from the Karata Village of the Akhvakhsky District of Dagestan died at a hospital in Makhachkala, Yuga.ru reports.

A mass brawl broke out between pupils and locals from the nearby village. A police officer tried to stop the fight and made a warning shot, hitting a schoolboy in the head.

A criminal case was initiated.
