New chief of Federal Agency of Communications appointed

Deputy Minister for Communications Oleg Dukhovitsky has become the head of the Federal Agency of Communications, PRIME reports.

Vladimir Shelikhov has been the acting head of the structure since March 16. Sergey Malyanov was the acting head of the organization since July 2011, after death of Valery Bugayenko, the head of the federal agency.

Dukhovitsky became the deputy minister in mid-2008. Before that, he worked as Deputy Director of the Department for Press Service, Information and Protocol of the Russian government in November 2007 – June 2008. He worked as head a deputy director of department at the VGTRK channel.

Dukhovitsky was born in Omsk on July 12, 1965. He graduated at the Russian Academy for State Administration in 2007, specialized in state and municipal management. He has a wife and a daughter.
