Tajik migrants prefer Qatar to Russia

The Tajik Migration Service will host a meeting for a governmental delegation from Qatar to discuss labour migrants, Radio Ozodi reports.

Russia and Kazakhstan have been the main source of employment for Tajik migrants. About 2 million Tajiks work abroad.

Zamoni Yunus from Saudi Arabia promised employment for hundreds of Tajiks two years ago. But after receiving cash from its clients, the company vanished. The police of the Firdavsi District detained an official of the company last week.
