RusHydro to spend 195 million rubles on ecology of Karachay-Cherkessia

The RusHydro office in Karachay-Cherkessia will spend about 195 million rubles on ecology in 2012-2014, exceeding the sum in 2011 14-fold, RIA Novosti reports.

Besides clearing pollution caused by hydro plants, RusHydro will also study the environment. The organization concluded fish-way formation at River Aksaut last year. It plans to release over 400,000 trouts in Karachay-Cherkessia.

RusHydro has 68 facilities based on renewable energy production. It produces 26.1 GW. Its Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam producing 6.4 GW is under reconstruction.
