Medvedev to join United Russia Party

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has announced that he is joining the United Russia Party, as recommended by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Gazeta.ru reports.

Approval of Medvedev as the new party leader will be considered at the upcoming assembly.
