Tymoshenko photos prove she was beaten

Recently published photos of imprisoned former Ukrainian prime minister Yuliya Tymoshenko prove that she was beaten, Ekho Moskvy reports.

Tymoshenko recently announced that she had been beaten by prison guards. They had punched her in the stomach so that she had lost consciousness, Tymoshenko said.

The photos published by the Ukrainian ombudsperson show Tymoshenko has marks on her stomach and hands.

Opposition members of the Supreme Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, has been protesting since Tymoshenko's statement.
