Governors of Perm and Yaroslavl regions dismissed

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree dismissing the Governor of Perm Region, Oleg Chirkunov, and the Governor of Yaroslavl region, Sergey Vakhrukov. Both governors previously submitted requests for their resignation, Interfax reports.

Viktor Basargin was appointed acting governor of Perm region, while deputy mayor of Yaroslavl Sergei Yastrebov was appointed temporary head of Yaroslavl region.
