Russian captain of Cambodian-flagged ship fined $40 thousand in Georgia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA Georgian court has decided to fine the captain of a Russian ship which had been detained in the Georgian port of Poti 40 thousand dollars, Interfax reports, referring to the Georgian border police.
Georgian border guards detained the cargo ship "Volgo-balt 203," operating under the Cambodian flag, for polluting the waters of the sea port of Poti.
According to the police, the ship dumped hydraulic oil in the port.
The Poti court has decided to fine the captain of the ship, Russian citizen Viktor Korneev, $40 thousand.
