Turkish and US military inspectors to make survey flight to Russia

A group of inspectors from Turkey and the US will make a survey flight to Russia, according to the International Open Skies Treaty, RIA Novosti reports.
The inspection will take place on a Casa CN-235 plane on May 2-5.
The Treaty on Open Skies was adopted by 27 states of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Helsinki on March 24, 1992. Its goal is to allow states to collect information on military facilities and actions causing concerns.
The document allows states to visit each other’s territory. 24 states have ratified the document. Russia ratified it on May 26, 2001.
