Armenian government promises to release convicts voting for ruling party

The Republican Party of Armenia promised locals of the village of Nerkin Bazmaberd Aragatsotnata to release Artak Petrosyan, a convict jailed for smuggling, if they give it the majority of votes, the Zhokhovurd paper said, Tert.am reports.

A similar promise was given to the village of Arteni. The party offers to release Vagram Khachatryan, convicted for the murder of Samvel Shaboyan, Director of the Khosrovsky Reserve, for the majority of votes.
