Earthquake in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia

Strong earthquake hit the northwestern Azerbaijan, eastern Georgia and Armenia. No casualties were reported.
The tremors of 5.5 on the Richter scale (7 points on a 12-point scale) were recorded on Monday morning at 9:40, in northwestern Azerbaijan, in the region between Zagatala and Gakh. The epicenter was located 17 kilometers south-west of the city Zagatala.
In Georgia, an earthquake with the magnitude of 5.8 occurred in the morning, May 7 near the town of Dedoplistskaro. According to the Center for Seismic Monitoring of the State University of Elijah, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 1 kilometer from the village of Zemo Kedi, and 22 kilometers from the city Dedoplistskaro (Kakheti region). Two fairly strong aftershocks were felt by the residents of Tbilisi, News Geogria reports.
National Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia also recorded the earthquake of 3-4 points. Tremors were felt around Lake Sevan, Vanadzor, Artashat, Ijevan, Yerevan.
