Kazakhstan grants Kyrgyzstan $30 million

Kazakhstan has given Kyrgyzstan $30 million as a gift, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said, KazTAG reports.

Kazakhstan provided Kyrgyzstan with construction materials worth $7 million and military aid worth $3 million after the events in 2010. Some $4 million was granted in 2011.

Kazakhstan has already provided Kyrgyzstan with $30 million of humanitarian aid, Nazarbayev said at a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Thursday.

Kazakhstan considers Kyrgyzstan a strategic partner in Central Asia.
