Thousands of hectares of vineyards submerged in Georgia

Thousands of hectares of vineyards have been submerged in Georgia's Kakhetia as a result of heavy rain last night, Georgia Online reports.

Houses were also submerged, some domestic animals died. Cars were washed away. The central highway connecting Gurjaani and Tbilisi was damaged.

The Lagodekhsky, Telavsky, Gurjaansky and Ahmetsky Districts suffered from the flood. Over 5,000 people experienced a power cut.
