Militant cache and bomb found in Kabardino-Balkaria

Police in Kabardino-Balkaria have found a militant cache with explosives and ammunition and defused an improvised bomb equivalent to over 1 kg of TNT, RIA Novosti reports.

The findings were made in a forest near the Khasanya – Bolny Aul Road on Nalchik outskirts. They resembled an 100-liter barrel.

The bomb contained projectiles and an electric detonator. The police found ammonite, RGD-5 and RGD grenades, ammo for underbarrel grenade launcher VOG-25, AK ammo and Kedr pistol with 50 bullets.

The police found three VOG-25 shots, two hand grenades and hemp substances in a private house in Baksan. The owner of the house has been detained.
