Special Envoy of the UN and Arab League General Kofi Annan called on Damascus on Wednesday to accept the UN conditions to allow deliveries of humanitarian aid to more than one million Syrians, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports referring to the TV channel "Al-Arabiya."

UN and Syria have been discussing the issue of international humanitarian aid to the needy in the country for the last two months. However, according to UN officials, the talks have stalled because of organizational issues.

Recall, that on the eve at least 21 people became victims of shelling by governmental forces at a funeral procession in the town of Khan Sheyhun in the Syrian province of Idlib. During this attack a convoy of UN international observers in Idlib also came under fire. The observers reported that during the gunfire no one was hurt but several cars were seriously damaged.
