Azerbaijan and Iran eliminate drug smugglers

The smugglers transported drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan. Two Azerbaijanis involved have been detained. They transported drugs from the village of Alirzabas in the Parsabad district of Iran.
Iranian border guards informed Azerbaijan on April 27 that Zamin Ahmedov and Hamail Mamedov of the Masallinsky district of Azerbaijan were being kept as hostages. They were taken to Azerbaijan on May 3.
The operation continued and 7 suspects were detained. They carried weapons and ammo, technical means, a large shipment of narcotics, antique items, five means of transport and three mobile phones. One suspect was extradited to Azerbaijan.
