Sarkozy: organization joining Europe and Russia must be founded

"The idea that Russia must protect itself from Europe and Europe must protect itself from Russia is an idea of the past. We should think about facing the same threats now. Terrorism and the mafia are the same threats, we should struggle against it together. This is the idea of the future, a fruitful idea", Sarkozy stated, talking to the participants of the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, we need " a new organization which would unite Russia and Europe in a vast economic territory, where people could move freely, where we could organize our security including the proposals made by president Medvedev".
