Young Russian man detained in Urals preparing explosive device

Police detained today a young man in the process of making an explosive device. He planned to detonate it under a kiosk in the city of Miass in the Urals, RIA-Novosti reports, citing the Interior Ministry of Russia.

The detained man said he planned to test the device in the forest and later plant it under a kiosk. As a reason for plotting the crime he cited hatred towards the owners of the kiosk due to their different ethnicity.

The local authorities have initiated an investigation.
