Arab League condemns Iran for threatening Bahrain

Director general of the Arab League Nabil Elarabi has demanded Iran to stop threatening Bahrain and interfering in its business, Trend reports.

Formation of a union of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain within the framework of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf should not be interfered in, Elarabi says.

Iranian Speaker of Parliament Ali Larijani said last Tuesday that formation of the union would cause a new crisis in the region. An Iranian MP of Zahedan Ali Shahriyari said that Bahrain is the 14th province of Iran and should unite with Iran, not Saudi Arabia.
