Russian president appoints advisors and assistants

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made new appointments, RIA Novosti reports.

Yevgeny Shkolov, former Deputy Interior Minister and head of the Department for Economic Security of the ministry, has become a presidential assistant, Vladimir Tolstoy, Director of the Yasnaya Polyana Museum Natural Reserve, has become an advisor.

Alexander Abramov of the State Council has switched from being an assistant to being an advisor.

Oleg Markov responsible for staff issues has been dismissed as an assistant. Yuri Laptev and Yevgeny Yuriyev specialized in the cultural and social sphere have been dismissed as advisors.
