Extra structure to be formed to protect Russian businessmen
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Russian prosecutor general’s office will have a specialized department for the protection of businessmen, spokeswoman of the office Marina Gridneva said today, RIA Novosti reports.
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed support for the appointment of an ombudsman for businessmen and a related structure at the Prosecutor General’s Office.
In April, President Dmitry Medvedev ordered the development of such an institution by July 1. The structure would reduce administrative pressure on business, improve the responsibility of executives, realize principles of the market economy and protect the rights of businessmen.
Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Buksman will supervise the new system. It will consist of the most skilled staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Gridneva said.
