Iranian patrols counter pirate attacks

The Iranian Naval Forces have prevented a pirate assault on tankers, SalamNews reports.

Motorboats approached Iranian tankers north-west of the Omani port of Muscat in the Gulf of Aden. The pirates fled the scene as soon as Iranian patrols approached.
