Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: good-neighborly relations between Iran and Azerbaijan and bilateral commitments to withstand enemies' attacks

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sent a letter to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Republic's Day to take place on May 28, Trend reports.

The letters congratulates the Azerbaijanis with the national holiday, the Republic's Day. The letter states that "the expansion and development of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Azerbaijan is in the interests of both peoples." The president of Iran also stressed that "good-neighborly relations between the two countries and bilateral commitments will prevent attacks from the enemies."
