Dagestani officials of Russian Registry suspected of land frauds

A group of Dagestani officials has acquired over a thousand hectares of land illegally, causing damage worth 161.7 million rubles to the state budget, the market price of the land is over a billion rubles, RIA Novosti reports.

The officials worked at the Russian Registry Directorate in Dagestan. They issued illegal ownership of 34 land lots at the Kumtorkalinsky District of Dagestan. They may get up to 10 years of prison.
