Maikop hosts international festival

Maikop is hosting the Stars of Adygeya international song contest for children at the Nalmes Hall and the Camera Music Theater named after A.A. Khanakhu today, Yuga.ru reports.

The fourth international contest will have about 500 attendants from the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, Abkhazia, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus and South Ossetia.

Winners will be announced on May 29. They will perform at the central square of Maikop at a concert from 7 to 11 pm.

The Stars of Adygeya festival has been held since 1997. It became an international festival in 2009. Its framework includes master classes of art groups, costume demonstrations, excursions to museums and sites of Adygeya.
