Putin to visit Asian states

Russian President Vladimir Putin was invited to visit China by Secretary General of the Communist Party Hu Jintao on June 5-6, RIA Novosti reports.

Putin will attend a session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in China.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov invited Putin to visit Uzbekistan on June 4. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev invited Putin for a visit on June 7.

Putin will make his first foreign visit after becoming a president on May 31 – June 1. The president will visit Belarus. The first distant states he will visit are France and Germany.
