Georgia names new head of healthcare mediation service

Georgian Minister for Labour, Healthcare and Social Protection Zurab Chiaberashvili has appointed Sopio Lebanidze as the new head of the mediation service of the Healthcare Ministry, Trend reports.

Lebanidze will also be the Healthcare Ombudsman.

Over 800,000 socially unprotected people will be supplemented by pensioners, children aged under 5, students. The number of state-insured people will total 1.8 million, the total number of insured people will reach 2.2 million.

Mediation staff was elected out of 1100 candidates.
