OSCE Minsk group urges Armenia and Azerbaijan to refrain from resorting to force The OSCE Minsk group co-chairmen - Igor Popov, Bernard Fassier and Robert Bratke - made a joint statement on Monday, condemning the military incident, which had occurred on the contact line in the Karabakh conflict zone on June 18-19, Interfax reports.

"Such incidents are unacceptable, as they violate the peace agreement of 1994," says the document.

It is also noted the incident occurred right after peace negotiations between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in St. Petersburg. The document also says that there is no other way but diplomacy to sustain peace and resolve the conflict. The co-chairmen also called on the sides to cooperation closely with the OSCE.
