Iran to seek compensation from Russia for undelivered S-300

reference to the ISNA agency.
Iran has appealed to the International Court of Arbitration in
connection with Russia's refusal to fulfil the terms of the contract
on supplying Iran with S-300 systems in early September 2011.
The contract on the supply to Iran of five S-300 PMU-1 battalions
was signed in late 2007. The deal amounted to $800 million.
In June 2010 the UN Security Council adopted a resolution
introducing restrictions on the delivery of conventional weapons to
Iran, including missiles and missile systems, tanks, combat
helicopters, combat aircraft and ships.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree banning the transfer
of S-300 missiles, armored vehicles, combat aircraft, helicopters and
ships to Iran on September 22, 2010.
