Iranian president to attend SCO summit

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was invited to visit Beijing today by Chinese leader Hu Jintao to attend the 12th SCO summit on June 6-7, SalamNews reports.

The Iranian president will be assisted by Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Minister for Industry and Trade Mehdi Gazanfari.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive as well.

Moscow will host a new round of nuclear talks on June 18.

Bilateral negotiations with China and signing of a memorandum of understanding are planned.
Ahmadinejad is making his third visit to China.
