Head of Sochi department arrested

The police have arrested the head of the department for natural resources, environmental protection, ecology and forests for a bribe of 1.5 million rubles, RIA Novosti reports.

She signed a contract on construction on July 28, 2011. 74 projects were prepared. The department chief demanded 20,000 rubles of bribe per each. Money was handed in mid-May. She may now be sentenced to 15 years of prison.
