Syrian president orders former agricultural minister to form new government

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has ordered the former Minister for Agriculture and Agrarian Reforms, Riyad Farid Hijab, to form a new government, RIA Novosti reports.

Hijab has already worked as the Secretary of the Ba’ath Party in Deir ez-Zor, and as Governor of Quneitra and Latakia Provinces.
