Iranian president to have meetings at SCO summit in Beijing

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will meet Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Beijing on Wednesday, Trend reports.

Both presidents are attending the two-day summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Ahmadinejad has met heads of state, including Secretary General of the Chinese Communist Party Hu Jintao and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Iranian Ministry for Trade, Mining and Metallurgy and China’s MCC have signed a deal on industrial cooperation in Beijing.

MCC will realize an additional 12 industrial projects in Iran, supplementing the 5 already under realization.

China is the main trading partner of Iran. Iran is the third largest oil supplier of China.
