SOCAR chief promises to renew gas supplies to Turkey

President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has promised to renew gas supplies to Turkey through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipeline on June 8, Trend reports.

The pipeline was hit by a blast at Kars on May 29. The causes of blast may have been caused by technical activities at the pipeline.

Azerbaijan exports 6.6 billion cubic meters of gas through the pipeline from the Shah Deniz Field according to a contract with Turkey. About 12 million cubic meters of gas were being pumped daily until the blast happened.
