Azerbaijani FM: Azerbaijan to continue closely cooperating with U.S. in field of improvement of democratic values

Azerbaijan will continue working closely with the U.S. in the field of improvement of democratic values, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at the joint briefing with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the results of her visit to Baku, which was held at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Trend reports.

"Azerbaijan is a young state, which is firmly on the position of the strengthening of democratic values ​​in the country and is ready to make every effort to develop a civilized, developed civil society in the country," Mammadyarov said.

The main issues during talks with U.S. Secretary of State were issues of security, energy and democratic processes, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a briefing.
