Georgia denies secret nuclear power plant construction

The spokesman of the Georgian Ministry for Energy and Natural Resources Jumber Mamasakhlisi told journalists that no construction of a nuclear power plant in the country is planned, Trend reports.

The leader of the Nationalist Movement Shalva Khachapuridze demands that all documents on construction in Aspindze (Sumtskhe-Javakheti Region, Southern Georgia) of the dam in Khertvisi be published.

Turkey believes that a nuclear power plant will be built under the cover of a hydro plant.

An intergovernmental commission of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey was formed. Georgian Minister for Energy Alexander Khetaguri is having negotiations.
